Where Should the Blocking Tape Be Installed?

Apply the sealing tape to the upper end of the polycarbonate sheet, where water and condensation do not need to drain.

For roofing installations:

• Upper end: Use solid sealing/blocking tape
• Lower end: Use breathable anti-dust tape to allow condensation to escape
• After applying the tape: Install a polycarbonate or aluminium end closure for additional protection

Do not use solid blocking tape on the lower drainage end of the sheet, as this may trap condensation inside the flutes.

Installation Instructions

1. Make sure the sheet ends are clean, dry and free from dust.
2. Remove any debris from inside the polycarbonate flutes.
3. Centre the 24mm tape over the open end of the sheet.
4. Press the tape firmly along the entire width of the sheet.
5. Ensure there are no wrinkles, gaps or loose edges.
6. Install the appropriate end closure over the taped edge.
7. Keep drainage holes in the lower end closure facing downward.
