Purlin Tape – Anti-Noise Tape for Polycarbonate Roofing 25mm x 20m

Anti-Noise Tape, also known as Purlin Tape or Noise Reduction Tape, is a specialised adhesive foam tape designed to minimise noise and vibration in polycarbonate roofing and polycarbonate cladding systems. It provides a cushion between polycarbonate panels and the supporting frame, preventing friction noise caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

Purlin tape is essential for all polycarbonate roof installations. It is not visible from the ground and is quick and easy to apply, as it comes with adhesive on one side.

Installation Tip

Apply the purlin tape along the top of each purlin or batten before laying the polycarbonate sheet. This creates a cushioned barrier that absorbs movement and eliminates the rattling and squeaking noise common in polycarbonate roofing installations. • Sealing / breathable tape — for sealing sheet edges and keeping flutes clean
• Polycarbonate H-joiners or aluminium H-joiners — for connecting sheets
