For glass-like flat polycarbonate roofing, measure the distance between each rafter from centre to centre. The aluminium H-joiners are installed directly above the rafters, so we generally deduct 15 mm from each bay measurement to allow for the joiner and thermal expansion.

For the sheet length, measure from the upper fixing point to the gutter and allow approximately 50 mm of overhang into the gutter.

Not necessarily. If your existing frame is still structurally suitable, we may only need to replace the old roofing sheets and joining components. Additional rafters, battens or adjustments may be required if the existing spacing, pitch or drainage is unsuitable.

Yes. Polycarbonate roofing generally requires very little maintenance, as rain and wind help wash away surface dust and debris. If cleaning is required, once a year is usually sufficient. Use clean water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and sharp tools.

A 3-degree slope is generally too low. We recommend a minimum 5-degree roof pitch for effective drainage and to reduce the risk of water pooling or leaking. A suitable slope also allows rain and wind to help keep the roofing cleaner.
